Charming, Beautiful, Relaxing, Wonderful!

I loved my stay at this Kingston Farmhouse! It was a refreshing escape from the busy city. The house itself is well-furnished and can accommodate a decent sized party. Kingston offers a number of cute antique shops and a lovely farmer's market on the weekends. I 100% recommend this place to anyone who's interested in experiencing the best of upstate NY.

Beautiful Home

A beautiful home that was a perfect getaway, lots of light Well decorated, lots of lovely details that we really enjoyed. Well maintained and easy to access. The reason for 4 versus 5 stars. The water has a really odd smell, in spite of boiling we ended up buying water for drinking . I did reach out to the management and was told to run the water for 10 minutes which I did and yet the smell was so strong and stayed. Any one planning to rent who may have a compromised immune system, bring your drinking and brushing water and some perfume!

Beautiful house but several issues

5 stars for the house & surroundings - very beautiful, well furnished. Loved the pool house; although not ideal to have to walk inside for a bathroom. 2 stars for appliances not functioning properly and inaccurate descriptions.

Issues:
1. The location of the house could be better described using closer towns.. also note that it is in the middle of nowhere, with only SOS signal.
2. There is no hot tub.. it's a "soaking tub," meaning, no jets / water circulation or lights. You sit in the slime with others in stagnant water.
3. Only 2 of the burners on the stove worked properly; one burst into a big flame when trying to ignite (very dangerous). I have gas stoves as home & fully aware of how to work them properly.
4. The freezer does not work; we refilled the ice cubs before going to bed & still 20-24 hours later they were not solid. The freezer door doesn't appear to shut all the way.
5. The fridge temperate - not cold enough & caused a few issues with some of the food. We ended up using the outdoor fridge, which was super cold & great.

Landed on 4 stars due to responsiveness & ability to address the issues brought up.

Relaxing retreat

Beautiful and clean, well appointed in every way. Perfect for a get away with friends! Have rented other homes elsewhere and homeliest this was charming and had everything in the home you might need. Would def recommend to others. Enjoyed visiting antique shops , millbrook winery and taconic distillery which were very close by.

Great home for a family get together

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saugerties Manor. The house was large enough for three generations to have their own space. The hot tub was a big hit and the kitchen was well stocked.

Perfect Family Hang Out House

This home is just that, a HOME. You feel welcome and comfortable immediately. It has everything you need to make great family meals and lovely spaces for eating and gathering. Just perfect!

LOVED

We were so happy to send the wk in this lovely house. Perfectly situated close to towns but secluded enough that it really felt like an escape from the city. Pool table - awesome, hot tub - awesome, reading in front of the fireplace - awesome.

Terrific House

We really enjoyed our stay at La Casita. It was three couples & a pup and we had a terrific time! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. We especially loved the wood burning fire place :)

Great! Hot tub not usable though

The house and layout was great, we had two families vacationing together and the space was just right for that.we loved the soaps/shampoos! And everything was clean and set up nicely. The only issue we had was with the hot tub - it was full of hair and debris - the water level seemed low as the jets were shooting above the water and that is probably also why the filter wasn’t working. So would recommend someone get maintenance on that asap before someone uses it.

Beautiful Property!!!

We had a great time at Bearsville Barn - it was exactly the type of place we were looking for. Lots of fires, movies on the big screen, great kitchen for delicious meals, outdoor cooking galore, long walks in the area, comfortable beds making for restful nights - it was a perfect trip! Thanks for having us!!

A Great Escape

The Nordic Retreat is exactly, if not better, than what you'd expect. It's upscale, yet cozy and private, but not completely remote. Would definitely book again.

Nice Private Retreat

Place is very spacious. The hosts were very accommodating. My only issue with the place was that a few of us got wood splinters. The wood floor in the main bedroom is not smooth. However, besides that, the hosts provide almost everything that’s needed for the stay, also very quick to respond to any questions.

Comfotable cottage in wooded setting

My wife and I enjoyed our peaceful stay at the Rail Trail Cottage (and so did our dog Roxie). In terms of furniture and decor this is more of a home than a thrown-together rental. We made great use of the screen porch and comfortable living room, and the bright, well-equipped kitchen was a delight. We were pleasantly surprised by the bottle of wine and specialty coffee graciously provided by our host. Beds are comfortable, decor is appealing and interesting. No babbling brook this summer (I'm guessing mainly due to drought conditions), but it was great to wave to the cyclists and hikers going by on the Trail behind the house. Access to the Trail is a short walk in either direction, and a short hike provides a glimpse of the Rosendale cement caves (complete with 20+ degree temperature drop on the trail!) and partial view of two small lakes (probably better view after the fall). Host was immediately responsive to our questions. Overall a successful stay and one we would repeat (probably in "fireplace" season next time!)

late summer vacation

We had a great time on the property. There were a few minor issues (some power problems in the bathrooms, a non-functioning Jacuzzi), but the overall feel and design of the home was exactly what we needed. We'd be likely to visit again.
